My work, beyond having a specific profile and commercial purposes is more related to research and development of new ways of producing art and linking it with theories of fields and sciences as diverse as biology, mathematics, sound, exact sciences, astronomy, among others. For this piece, I use an image of a lunar topographic map showing the first complete catalog of large craters on the Moon, obtained from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter's Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA).

Image digitization is supposed to be the ultimate mecca of consciousness in the analogy reached by the Greek atomist school. Specifically, it was Democritus who supposed the configuration of reality by very small blocks called atoms. To which I refer metaphorically with the use of beads in these works.

The Wixárikas, commonly known by their Spanish name, Huicholes, are an ethnic group of Mexico living in the Sierra Madre Occidental in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas and Durango. One of the materials with which this community created their artifacts and ritual crafts is colored beads. These pieces were elaborated in the family workshop of the master Manolo Castro Montoya, Muwieritemay in his Wixárika name, where they create new universal compositions through their own interpretation of the given photography. In this way, the Wixárikas become creators of new universes, made possible only by our inability to confirm whether they can be or not.
