ARTWORKS

An art edition is a limited series of a specific artwork, made from a single image of one plate, negative, or mold. As limited editions are fixed in quantity, they are only produced in a set number and are generally numbered.

For example, a print marked 10/30 is the 10th print out of 30 prints which were produced.  It is generally understood that the smaller the edition, the more valuable the print.

Although editions differ from unique artworks, they are nonetheless regarded as standalone artworks, clearly distinguishing themselves from reproductions. Artists have been using the concept of limited editions in order to enable everyone to own one of their artworks.

All artworks published by Ediciones Marea are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, hand-signed by the artist. In addition, every artwork is individually numbered and marked.

PURCHASE & PAYMENT

You can purchase your limited art edition by clicking “Add to cart” icon next to the artwork. This will add the artwork to your shopping cart, which you can access by clicking on the “Cart” link in the top right menu. Follow instructions during the checkout process to complete your order.

Upon successful completion of your purchase order, you will receive a purchase confirmation e-mail.

Ediciones Marea accepts the following payment methods:

Direct Bank Transfer
Make your payment directly into our bank account. To make a direct transfer, please write us: marea@edicionesmarea.com. Your order will not be shipped until the funds have cleared in our account.

Paypal
From our shop you will be automatically directed to PayPal’s site, where your payment information is entered and the purchase is completed.

Credit Card
Enter your credit card information and complete your payment over a SSL secured connection.
There are no hidden fees. Each purchase consists of the following two cost elements:

(1) The artwork: the artwork price is listed next to each artwork.

(2) The shipping: The shipping costs will be displayed during the order process. Please note that shipping costs may vary depending on your country of origin.

In the shopping cart and during the checkout, before any order is placed, these cost elements will be clearly displayed.

Please note that depending on where the artwork is shipped to, additional import duties and taxes may arise for the buyer. The responsibility for the settlement of any applicable duties, tax, and/or customs fees, lies with the buyer.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide returns once an order has been shipped. If the artwork arrives with signs of damage, please contact us within 3 days of receiving the delivery to resolve the issue.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Upon receipt of the full payment, we deliver within 15 days in Mexico and within 21 days to destinations outside Mexico. Please note that our business hours are Monday through Friday. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday.
Our shipping fees include packaging and transport insurance and vary depending on the shipping destination. They will be displayed during the order process. In the shopping cart and during the checkout, before any order is placed, these cost elements will be clearly displayed.

If you should not be able to view the shipping costs to your destination, please contact us. We will then let you know personally about available shipping options.

Yes, through global premium express carriers like Fedex, UPS, and DHL. We are able to ship our artworks to most countries in the world.

For some shipping destinations, we offer shipping upon request only. If you should not be able to proceed in the checkout, please contact us. We will then let you know personally about available shipping options.

Please note that international orders may be subject duty and tax as determined by the customs authorities of the importing country. The buyer must settle any fees directly upon arrival and are in addition to the cost of the artwork and shipping.

Yes. All of our shipments are insured during transport.
Our artworks are packaged to the highest professional standards. To protect artworks during their journey, We typically use a solid multiple layer cardboard packaging.

Please take extra care when removing your artwork from the packing and its wrapping. Do not use knifes to open the packaging and handle the artwork with the greatest care.
